BMW X8, recreation and first details of the future SUV

We have already spoken several times of the BMW X7 the next big SUV of the German mark. It is a model of which have already seen recreations and of which we know some details, but will not end in odd the range SUV. It will be followed by the BMW X8, which will be a more luxurious and exclusive bet. Although nothing is confirmed, it seems that this new model could see the light in late 2019 or early 2020.

He will become a rival for models such as Bentley Bentayga or Rolls-Royce Cullinan, with which he will share some elements. Its design will be quite different from the X4 and X6, but it will keep its sporty and dynamic essence. Also the coupe line that could be similar to the BMW X2 Concept.

One of the keys to the next BMW X8 will be its cockpit. The intention is that it be the most luxurious and sophisticated of the brand. It will have a 2 + 2 configuration, with two compulsory individual seats in the rear seats. There will be plenty of space and will be the first X model that does not use the full modular CLAR platform. The X8 will incorporate a Rolls-Royce Cullinan aluminum structure to increase rigidity.

As for its range of engines is expected to be quite limited and has only powerful mechanics. There could be two gasoline, xDrive40i and xDrive50i, whose powers have not been revealed. There would also be a gap for two plug-in hybrids, the iPerformance xDrive50e and the iPerformance xDrive60e. The first will be the same that uses the 550e iPerformance of the Series 5 and the second one is in development and could surpass the 600 CV. In the future could come a version M with V12 engine.
